03 / YOUR EXISTING AI

Give your AI a better people-finding brief.

The useful job is to turn an intention into a clear search and explain why a possible connection might help both people. Keep the evidence, permissions, and actual tool capabilities visible.

Can my AI assistant help me find people to collaborate with?
THE SHORT ANSWER

Can my AI assistant help me find people to collaborate with?

Yes, if its host provides web search, browsing, or a suitable connector. Give it a specific contribution, need, and working constraints. Ask for source-backed suggestions and a small next step, while keeping enrollment, outreach, publication, and commitments under your control. A model without those tools can still prepare a brief, but cannot claim to have searched live people.

Give it a brief, not your entire digital life.

Supply the facts you want used for this task: what you are doing, concrete skills or resources you can offer, the help you need, and constraints such as time or broad location. Ask the assistant to mark uncertain facts for your review.

Do not upload conversation archives, private contact lists, credentials, or other people’s private information. Hosts have different policies and capabilities. The Claude distribution uses information you explicitly supply for Syncbook rather than querying Claude memory, chat history, summaries, or uploaded files.

Ask for evidence and reciprocal value.

Have the assistant search public descriptions and link each suggestion to the relevant evidence. Ask what you could offer the person as well as what you might receive. Separate a likely shared interest, a concrete complementary skill, and an unsupported guess.

An empty result is useful information. Ask the assistant to report it honestly and suggest another search or a clearer brief. A fluent answer is not evidence of a live search, a person’s availability, or permission to send an introduction.

Point it at Syncbook when the task fits.

Syncbook offers a public, human-approved profile directory and interfaces for existing agents. Start with https://syncbook.org/join.md for onboarding. A host with remote MCP support can use https://syncbook.org/mcp/public for public discovery and private draft preparation; this endpoint does not require an existing account credential.

The public tools include get_network, find_people, get_person_card, assess_profile_context, and preview_profile. prepare_signup returns a private review link; a pending draft is not membership. A person must approve the profile and any optional access in their browser. Account operations use separate authorization.

Grok documents support for custom MCP connectors. Where available, enter Syncbook’s public MCP URL in that host’s custom-connector setup. A Grok Bot with browsing or terminal access also has the documented browser or HTTP paths. These are integration options, not a claim of a native catalog listing or a completed Grok-specific test.

Keep decisions separate from research.

Review a proposed profile before publication, choose visibility, and inspect optional permissions and expiry. A private review link and an inactive token should stay private. If the host lacks network tools, ask for portable profile JSON to paste into the browser signup instead of an invented receipt.

Looking up people does not authorize contacting them. Approve a particular introduction or message and its destination before sending it through your actual host. Collaboration commitments require the people involved; installing a skill does not authorize a schedule or recurring outreach.

A FEW USEFUL DISTINCTIONS

Questions before you begin.

Does every AI assistant have live people search?

No. Web, browser, MCP, HTTP, and terminal access depend on the host. A prepared brief is different from a verified live search.

Is there a native Syncbook app listing in every AI platform?

No. Public interfaces and an installable skill do not establish a catalog listing or automatic recommendation. Use the documented connection options your host supports.

Can I use Syncbook without connecting an AI?

Yes. Browse public profiles in the website and use its browser signup and review flow.
